The concert takes place April 25 at Johns Creek United Methodist Church.
On April 25, the Johns Creek Chorale will present a magical concert experience that’s perfect for all ages. Performing music from the classic film, “The Wizard of Oz” and featuring songs we all know and love, such as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road,” the show will transport the audience to a world of ruby slippers, cowardly lions and talking scarecrows, during an evening of music and fun.
“This is the first time we’ve performed a Wizard of Oz concert,” said the chorale’s Toni Appling. “The special event will feature music from the movie’s original score performed by the chorale, soloists, orchestra and a children’s choir.”
The tenth anniversary season
The show is part of Johns Creek Chorale’s special tenth anniversary season. To recognize this milestone, the ensemble has presented a variety of memorable concert experiences in 2025-2026, including Hope Awakens, Messiah at the Pub and A Season to Remember— a series of joyful concerts filled with music designed to inspire and delight.
The Wizard of Oz will be the season’s final concert and promises to be an unforgettable theatrical choral experience that is sure to engage and entertain.
