Newtown Park was home to a great turnout of residents and city visitors on March 7 for Johns Creek’s annual Battle of the Bands. Ten bands took to the stage at the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater for an unforgettable night of friendly competition and rockin’ music.

This year’s winners were Music Authority’s showcase group Eclipse (in the youth category) and Athens alt-rock band Everyday Dogs (in the adult category). Both bands took home trophies and bragging rights.

According to the City of Johns Creek Instagram page, “as the winners of the Battle, each band will be invited to perform as the opening acts during the city’s Summer Concert Series.”

Summer Concert Series 2026

While the March Battle of the Bands event was the official first show of this year’s series, the monthly concerts will kick off in May and run through September 12. Bands are yet to be announced, but will be shared soon on the city’s website and social media pages.
