Annual Golf Classic returns to Johns Creek on June 22

On June 22, members of the local business community will swap boardrooms for bunkers as the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce hosts its premier summer event: the Annual Golf Classic, presented by Northside Hospital.

Now a staple on the North Fulton social and business calendar, the tournament, held at St Ives Country Club, is more than just a day on the links. It’s also a vital networking event for the region’s executives and entrepreneurs.

According to an announcement from the Chamber, the Golf Classic offers local business owners, executives and community leaders an unparalleled opportunity for high-level networking and making “unforgettable business connections.”

“This event is a cornerstone for our local economy,” said Greg Powell, chairman of the Johns Creek Chamber Board. “It provides a unique environment where business owners can step away from the desk and build the kind of authentic relationships that drive our community forward.”

The day is designed to foster growth and community strength, exemplified by the #ChamberStrong spirit.

Partnerships and outreach

The collaboration between the Chamber and its presenting sponsor, Northside Hospital Forsyth, underscores their shared commitment to the vitality of Johns Creek. And, as host of the event, St Ives offers a prestigious backdrop for the day’s many activities.

Starting with an 8 a.m. registration and a 10 a.m. shotgun start, participants will play 18 holes and enjoy a full hospitality experience, including a catered lunch, cocktail hour and an awards dinner with silent auction.

“We consistently see unforgettable business connections made during this tournament,” said Shay Foley, a key leader within the Chamber. “The response this year has been incredible — our premier sponsorship tiers are already sold out, which speaks to the high value our local businesses place on this level of engagement.”

Richard Brooks, representing the Chamber’s outreach, noted that while the elite sponsorships have moved quickly, limited opportunities remain for local brands to get involved.

“Whether you’re playing in a foursome or sponsoring a hole, you’re positioning your brand in front of Johns Creek’s most influential decision-makers,” he said.

Sponsorship & participation

Though several sponsorship tiers have already sold out, a limited number of opportunities remain for businesses looking to increase their visibility among Johns Creek’s top influencers.

Foursome spots are also filling quickly, and interested parties are encouraged to secure their registration immediately.

“This is more than a round of golf,” Foley said. “It’s a full day of meaningful connections … where business meets the fairway and connections are made that last.”
