The sun is shining, weather is warm and there are plenty of family-friendly activities on the calendar to get you out (and outside) to celebrate spring in Johns Creek. We’ve gathered a few favorite events below.

Battle of the Bands

March 7; starting at 6 p.m.; Admission is free
One of the city’s most rocking fun events returns for a night of music, community and friendly competition at the Mark Burkhalter Amphiteater at Newtown Park. Local musicians — youth and adult — will take to the stage at this annual event, hosted by the City of Johns Creek.

Celebration: Thirty Years of Creativity

March 13–April 10; Admission is free
This springtime student and member showcase marks The Art Center’s 30th anniversary. Exploring a theme of “celebration,” each piece will be a visual interpretation of what it means to celebrate. A “birthday” reception with awards presentation will be held March 21 from 2–6 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day Floral Arranging Class

March 17; 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Cost: $85
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a festive floral arranging class at Blossom & Vine. Unleash your creativity and design a stunning arrangement with guidance from an expert florist. Materials, finger foods, wine and tea are included. Space is limited. Register online in advance.

“Alice in Wonderland” & “Paquita” presented by Perimeter Ballet

March 20–21; Friday, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. & 3 p.m.; Cost: $20
This pairing of “Alice in Wonderland” with the classical ballet “Paquita” is a family-friendly production presented by Johns Creek’s Perimeter Ballet in the Perimeter Church Sanctuary.

Johns Creek Daffodil Days

March 28; 12 p.m.-6 p.m.; Admission: free
With carnival games, thrilling youth rides, inflatables, a petting zoo, jugglers, treats and crafts, this annual event is perfect for all ages. Held at the Atlanta Athletic Club fields.

IMAGINE: It’s Magic!

March 28; 7:30 p.m.; Tickets: $42+ adults; $32+ seniors; free for students 21 and under
Sparks will fly when vocalist Joan Ellison and the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra bring the golden age of studio recording back to life with a swinging celebration of the most dazzling singers, songwriters and arrangers of the twentieth century. Onstage at Mount Pisgah Church.

Easter Centerpiece Arranging Class

April 1; 6 p.m.-8 p.m.; Cost: $90
Celebrate the season with an Easter-themed floral arranging class at Blossom & Vine. Design and craft an Easter centerpiece under the guidance of an expert florist. Materials, finger foods, wine and tea are included. Space is limited. Register online in advance.

Easter Bunny Hop

April 3; 4 p.m.-8 p.m.; Admission is free
Take a ‘hop’ around the upper pond of the The Boardwalk at Town Center, stopping at vendors along the way. Collect goodies and snap a picture with the Easter Bunny.

Earth Day at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve

April 18; 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Admission is free
Join Autrey Mill Nature Preserve staff and community partners for four hours of outdoor fun in celebration of Earth Day. Children and families are welcome to participate in various activities to educate them about sustainability, environmental protection and the history of Earth Day.
