The Art Center at Johns Creek always has a lot going on — from workshops and classes for all ages to camps and exhibits. We’ve pulled together a few fun highlights from their calendar coming up over the next few months.

The Art Center Summer Camps
Many camps are still booking at The Art Center! Campers in rising grades K-12 can learn fun new skills in things like drawing & painting, cartooning, video production, improv and theatre, fashion design and more. Registration is open now.
June 12 @ 7 p.m.
Open Mic Night at The Art Center
Come for a free evening of fun and interesting live performances at this Friday night event! Local performers are invited to showcase their comedy, music, personal stories, poetry and more. Show off your own talents or simply stay to watch.
Free light refreshments will be provided (but there will be a donation box out to help fund future Friday Fun Nights). Learn more or sign up to perform on the event’s Meetup page.

High Honors Middle & High School Art Competition Closing Reception
Join The Art Center for an awards ceremony and closing reception for the High Honors Middle and High School Art Competition. This exhibition showcases the incredible creativity and talent of teens from Fulton and surrounding counties. Students who would like to be submit art for the exhibit will find information on The Art Center website. The submission deadline is June 8.

Teen Open Mic Night
Immediately following the reception for High Honors, The Art Center will transform into a fun open mic night where all of the performers are local teens! Come show your support of these young talents as they share their comedy, music, poetry and stories. Teens can sign up to perform with this form.
July 27–August 29
Summer Serendipity Annual Juried Art Competition
The Art Center’s largest annual exhibition returns! Summer Serendipity is an open-call juried exhibit featuring regional artists showcasing their best work in hopes of earning the $1500 first place prize.
The call for art is currently accepting submissions from interested artists through June 19. The public is invited to come out to see the show and join The Art Center on August 29 at 6 p.m. for the awards presentation and reception. Local businesses interested in sponsoring award ribbons for this show are welcome to reach out to The Art Center. Contact information can be found on the center’s website.
